Network Violations
Melohosts is committed to maintaining a secure and stable network for all our customers. Violations of our network policies compromise our infrastructure and are strictly prohibited as per our Terms of Service.
This page outlines how to report network violations or abuse originating from the Melohosts network.
Prohibited Network Activities
The following activities are considered network violations and are strictly forbidden:
- Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) Attacks: Launching or participating in any attack designed to disrupt service for another user, host, or network.
- IP Spoofing: Creating TCP/IP packets with forged or incorrect source IP addresses.
- Port Scanning / Probing: Scanning or probing ports on other servers or networks without explicit authorization from the target system’s owner.
- Network Intrusion: Unauthorized attempts to access, probe, or scan any system, account, or network (e.g., “hacking”).
- Packet Sniffing: Monitoring or intercepting data not intended for you without permission.
How to Report Network Violations
If you have discovered a system on the Melohosts network that is responsible for any of the violations listed above, please report it to our abuse department immediately.
Your report should include:
- The source IP address of the offending system.
- The destination IP address and port(s) being targeted.
- Timestamps (including your time zone) of the incident.
- A copy of any relevant logs, packet captures, or other evidence.

All reports are investigated promptly. We take network integrity seriously and will take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of the offending account.
